This month has been a weird one for me. We had an insane heatwave, I complained about it in a previous post, and we also had family over visiting from Spain, which increased my social anxiety and made me stress a lot about little things. Those two combined meant I didn’t read much this month. I couldn’t focus on words. I would read one page and then forget what I had just read.
This month I’ve started a digital journal, I’ve never done one before and I don’t know if I’ll stick with it, but I had fun creating my July favourites. I thought it’d be cool to keep a record of the things I liked the most each month.
Do you know what the world desperately needs in 2022? Multiple heatwaves happening at the same time, just to shake things up a bit. England is experiencing never-seen-before heat. We’ve just reached 39°C in my city, and it’s driving my little autumn heart insane.

I’m an autumn person. I love the cold wind and the changing of the leaves. I live for those grey rainy days and Halloween decorations. So I mostly ignore the other seasons, patiently waiting for the end of September when you can start to put pumpkins on your windowsill without looking weird.
